About Claire

Originally from Bainbridge Island, Washington, Claire Tyers is a New York based Actor and Singer.  She received her MFA in Theater from The New School For Drama where she was granted the Bob Hope Award for Comedy,

FILM and TV:   Claire, along with her twin sister Actor/Comedian, PHOEBE TYERS, are featured as twin musicians in the Indie Comedy, FORT TILDEN, written and directed by the creators of TBS' SEARCH PARTY, Charles Rogers and Sarah-Violet Bliss.  She made her TV debut in Season 2 of SEARCH PARTY!  Definitely more TV and Film to come! 

THEATRE:    Claire's focus has been with Shakespeare.  In 2016 she premiered SHREW, her One-Woman adaptation of Shakespeare's The Taming Of The Shrew, directed by Noa Egozi.  This United Solo Festival production on Theatre Row received the Award for Best Adaptation.  A reprise of SHREW - one woman, six characters and 60 minutes -  is planned for Spring 2018.  Other recent SHAKESPEARE performances include, HERMIA in A Midsummer Night's Dream for W.H.A.T. in Cape Cod, Othello's DESDEMONA and Taming's KATERINA for the New York based Theatre Company, MATCH:LIT.  

SHAKESPEARE COACH:   Claire is also a Shakespeare coach!  She works with people new and old to Shakespeare--preparing them for auditions and productions.
