About Claire

Originally from Bainbridge Island, Washington, Claire Tyers is a New York based Actor and Singer.  She received her MFA in Acting from The New School For Drama where she was granted the Bob Hope Award for Comedy,

TV and Film: Claire plays JUNE on tbs’ SEARCH PARTY  Season 2 and 3, opposite her twin sister, Actor/Comedian, PHOEBE TYERS, as APRIL. Claire and Phoebe are featured as twin musicians in the Indie Comedy, FORT TILDEN, written and directed by the creators of TBS' SEARCH PARTY, Charles Rogers and Sarah-Violet Bliss.   

THEATRE: Claire recently performed POOR YORICK, her five minute piecing of HAMLET at THE PLAYERS CLUB for OFF THE PAGE, Playwrights Horizons. O HAPPY DAGGER, her one-woman Romeo & Juliet, premeired summer 2017 in the New York New Works Theatre Festival and was a finalist. In 2016 Claire premiered SHREW, her solo adaptation The Taming Of The Shrew, directed by Noa Egozi., in the United Solo Festival on Theatre Row. SHREW received the Award for Best Adaptation.   Other recent SHAKESPEARE performances include, HERMIA in A Midsummer Night's Dream for W.H.A.T. in Cape Cod, Othello's DESDEMONA and Taming's KATERINA for the New York based Theatre Company, MATCH:LIT.  

SHAKESPEARE COACH:   Claire is also a Shakespeare coach!  She works with people new and old to Shakespeare--preparing them for auditions and productions.
